Moon wisdom: following the rhythms of nature

The cycles of the Moon have a powerful influence on the body, mind and emotions. The body is mostly made up of water and we are all influenced by the Moon just as the tides and plants are affected in nature. As the Moon pushes and pulls the tides, we are also influenced through the effect on our body fluids and cells.

Depending on how hydrated you are and how balanced your electrolytes are, a full moon particularly can cause aggravation for people in the nervous system and cellular tissue. If the body is lacking in water and has a deficiency in potassium or magnesium, it will get stressed at particularly strong gravitational pulls such as full moon and lunar eclipses. Staying well hydrated will help you remain more balanced through the Moon cycles.

There are four different Moon phases that cause distinct effects in our bodies throughout the month. To find out more... read the full explanation in the 2011 Moon Diary! :)

The moon diary is going to press - imminently!

We are in the final stages of putting all the information together. I am *so* excited about this. It is going to be AMAZING. It's got so much wonderful information about the moon and the seasons and living in tune with the natural cycles of nature - we've had the time to put in much, much more than for last year's edition! Believe me, it's going to be a little jewel.

At the end of the week our draft is going to be prettified by our graphic designer extraordinaire, and then it's going to press. Although I'm already joking that Christmas is just round the corner, it does need to go to print now to be available at the beginning of november - that's what we're aiming for. We might even have a launch party (or some kind of party anyway) when it comes out. Stay tuned.

In the meantime, we will be sharing some of the illustrations and info as a sneak preview. Watch this space... and for any additional info or to preregister your interest: cardiffmoondiary@hotmail.co.uk
